1961 brought some big changes to the Gibson Les Paul™, most notably a sleek, all-new, double-cutaway, all-mahogany body design that would later be renamed the SG™. This Gibson Custom Shop model recreates those cherished originals, complete with a Sideways Vibrola, a side-pull action vibrato that is similar to those found on models from the early 1960s.
Jeremiah (aka Nacho Supreme) purchased an entire booth at a Spartanburg SC guitar show. Twenty-two guitars in total including Gibson, Heritage, and Fender. All the guitars were from a failed music store out west and have been displayed only their entire life. This is one of those twenty-two guitars.
No previous repairs have taken place on this instrument and will go through a full inspection again before leaving our hands.
