Guitar, Bass Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, & Ukulele with Joshua Tennant

Josh Tennant grew up in a musical family, and began playing double bass in the school orchestra in 5th grade. Electric bass and guitar soon followed, and he was performing
professionally by high school. Josh is a graduate of the USC School of Music.

He performed with the USC Symphony Orchestra, Left Bank Big Band, and other jazz combos, including performances with Burt Bacharach, Mark O’Connor, and Louis Bellson.

He has played dozens of shows on the bandstand and in the orchestra pit in theaters across the Carolinas. A feature on the local music scene for many years, Josh is the Music Teacher at Westminster Day School, a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church Praise Team, and a member of the Artists Collective|Spartanburg. Josh offers private lessons in guitar, bass, and other string instruments.

His current project is The Low Stakes, a genre-bending quintet comprised of members of his family and fellow Pecknel instructor Kevin Heuer. The Low Stakes blend influences from prog to power pop with hook-laden originals and some surprising covers.
