Ray Schnurr earned his music theory and composition degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University and his Master’s Certificate in Film Scoring from UCLA, after which he spent over 25 years working as a professional composer, arranger, orchestrator and conductor in Los Angeles, California.
He has worked for a variety of different film studios and production companies including Disney, Sony and Warner Bros, and was a part of many studio film projects including Matrix Trilogy, Home for the Holidays,
Amazing Race and more. He has also written many orchestral arrangements, which have been performed by professional orchestras
across the United States, including LA Phil, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Florida Symphony Orchestra.

Ray has been teaching piano, composition, and conducting for over 25 years. He enjoys teaching students of all ages and musical levels. Ray encourages his students to enjoy learning music by first working with the
student to incorporate into the type of music they love into their weekly lesson plan, then encourages them to explore new musical adventures,which strengthens their unique musical gifts and skills. Ray believes
