Voice Lessons with Karen Schnurr

Karen Schnurr has been teaching voice for 20+ years and performing professionally for over 25! One of the most valuable things she brings to her lessons is her many years of experience as a working professional singer in Orlando and Los Angeles.

She has performed in a wide variety of
arenas—from both Disneyland and Disney World with the Voices of Liberty, to Walt Disney Hall with the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

For much of her career, she has worked extensively as a studio session singer. You can hear her on films such as Star Trek, Despicable Me 3, and Sing, as well as television shows including The
Simpsons and Family Guy.

Whether it’s audition prep, leading worship, choir, original music, or rocking out in the karaoke room, Karen helps singers discover their individual voice through a solid vocal foundation.

She strengthens each student’s natural “instrument,” expanding its range—musically and emotionally — while equipping them to reach their goals.

Using a wide range of repertoire—often a student’s song of choice—she teaches healthy, natural technique that works across genres, so every singer walks away with a voice they can control, maintain, and grow.
Karen earned her BM in Vocal Performance from Palm Beach Atlantic University and continues to study and stay current in vocal science and pedagogy.
