At its core, the Player II Modified Active P-Bass features a classic alder body, paired with a Modern “C” maple neck finished in satin urethane and a 9.5" radius fingerboard with rolled edges for smooth playability.
The electronics suite is a major leap forward. A PJ pickup configuration (split-coil Precision in the middle + Noiseless Jazz pickup at the bridge) offers tremendous tonal flexibility. A newly designed active 18-volt preamp delivers a 3-band EQ (Bass / Mid / Treble) along with a passive tone control switch and an active/passive toggle, allowing players to blend vintage and modern voices.
To support the enhanced electronics, the bass includes a HiMass 4-saddle bridge for increased resonance and sustain, a TUSQ nut for stable tuning and harmonic clarity, and tapered-shaft open-gear tuners to ensure strong string break angles and tuning reliability. Fender backs this modern instrument with premium build quality—each unit ships with a deluxe gig bag so you’re performance-ready.
